Having clothes come out slightly damp after a standard drying cycle is generally not ideal unless you intend to immediately iron them or hang them up to air dry. However, if clothes are unintentionally damp, it usually indicates that the automatic moisture sensor bars inside the drum detected that garments had reached their optimal preset dryness level, or conversely, that the machine was overloaded or experiencing restricted airflow. If clothes feel uncomfortably wet, it points to a clogged lint trap, dirty sensor strips, or a blocked exterior vent duct.
