Commercial insurance is generally not cheaper than personal (regular) insurance; in fact, it is almost always significantly more expensive. Commercial policies protect vastly higher liability limits, expensive business properties, commercial vehicle fleets, and complex employee payroll risks. Because the potential financial payout exposure for insurers is exponentially greater when businesses face lawsuits or disasters, commercial insurance premiums reflect those magnified operational risks.
