While the Bajaj family is not biologically related to Mahatma Gandhi, patriarch Jamnalal Bajaj was famously adopted by Gandhi as his "fifth son." The family maintained extremely close personal, political, and philosophical ties to Gandhi throughout India's freedom struggle.
