Most standard residential HVAC condensate pumps do not feature a physical external "reset button" that you can press to restart them after an electrical or mechanical fault, because they operate automatically via a floating switch mechanism. If your pump has stopped working because its internal float arm became temporarily jammed by sticky algae sludge or mineral scale, you cannot reset it until you clean the debris out. To perform a manual system reset after a clog or electrical trip, unplug the unit from the wall outlet, empty and clean the plastic reservoir tank thoroughly, ensure the float moves freely up and down, and plug it back in. You can troubleshoot power delivery easily. You can verify that your reset procedure was successful when restoring power and testing water levels causes the motor to engage and pump fluid out normally.
