Snoop Dogg's pay for being at the Olympics as a special correspondent for NBC during the Paris 2024 Olympics was widely discussed, but exact figures were not officially disclosed by NBC. Several media reports claimed he was earning around 500,000 dollars per day plus expenses, which would total around 8 to 9 million dollars for the duration of the Games, but those numbers were not confirmed by NBC or Snoop Dogg and were based on unverified social media posts that went viral. NBC hired Snoop Dogg because his entertaining commentary during Tokyo 2021 with Kevin Hart was hugely popular, and his role in Paris included carrying the Olympic torch, attending events, interviewing athletes, and providing colorful commentary that boosted viewership among younger audiences. What is known is that NBC paid significant amount for his presence due to marketing value, travel, security, and production. Snoop Dogg himself said he was there for love of sports and culture, not just money. No official contract value was released. For Los Angeles 2028 Olympics, Snoop Dogg, who is from Long Beach, is expected to have larger role, and compensation may be higher, but as of now no confirmed figure exists. Reports of half million per day should be treated as rumor, not verified fact, though it reflects his high market value as entertainer and cultural ambassador for Olympics.
