Brigham Young University is sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and its athletic programs traditionally consist predominantly of members of the faith. While roster compositions vary year by year with incoming recruits and student-athletes from diverse backgrounds, the vast majority of players on the BYU men's basketball team are practicing members of the LDS Church, with many having also completed voluntary full-time religious missions before or during their collegiate athletic careers.
