Tinplate is manufactured through a sophisticated, multi-stage industrial process that begins with the production of high-grade low-carbon steel coils. These steel sheets are cold-rolled to achieve precise thickness, cleaned to remove surface impurities, and then coated with a microscopic layer of pure tin on both sides using an advanced electrolytic deposition process or hot-dipping. Following plating, the steel undergoes a thermal reflowing process to create a brilliant mirror finish, followed by passivation chemical treatments and a protective oil coating to prevent oxidation and ensure suitability for food packaging.
