Delta t is measured by capturing two separate temperature readings using calibrated digital thermometers, thermistors, or infrared sensors at designated inlet and outlet points of a system. Once both absolute temperature values are recorded, the lower value is subtracted from the higher value to determine the exact magnitude of the temperature difference across the heat transfer medium.
