How to reset a Samsung oven can be done via soft reset using control panel or hard reset via power cycle to clear error codes and reboot control board, useful when oven not heating, display frozen, or error code shown. Soft reset method, press and hold Off Clear or Cancel for 3 seconds, or turn off oven, press and hold Bake and Broil or Timer Off for few seconds until display resets, depending on model. Hard reset method, turn off oven using Power, unplug oven from wall if accessible or turn off circuit breaker supplying oven for 5 to 10 minutes to allow control board capacitors to discharge, then turn breaker back on or plug in, turn on oven and set clock. This clears error codes like E-08, E-27 for temperature sensor. For gas oven with electronic ignition not working, reset by unplugging 5 minutes. For smart oven, you can reset via SmartThings app. Resetting does not fix mechanical failures like bad heating element but clears electronic glitches. If oven still shows error after reset, note error code and contact Samsung support with model number.
