To reset a tankless water heater, locate the power ON/OFF switch or power plug connected to the unit. Turn the power switch off (or unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet), wait approximately 30 to 60 seconds to allow the internal digital control board capacitors to discharge fully, and then turn the power switch back on (or plug it back in). Many modern tankless units also feature a digital control display panel with a dedicated reset or error code clearing button. Verification: Check the digital display panel to ensure error codes have cleared and normal heating operation resumes.
