The Houston Rockets have captured the NBA championship on two memorable occasions in franchise history. Led by legendary center Hakeem Olajuwon, the franchise secured back-to-back titles during the mid-1990s, defeating the New York Knicks in a grueling seven-game series in 1994 before sweeping the Orlando Magic in dominant fashion during the 1995 postseason. These consecutive championship victories remain the crowning achievements of the organization's storied history in Texas.
