The University of Evansville maintains a historic, voluntary covenant relationship with the United Methodist Church, though it operates today as an independent, comprehensive private university. The institution welcomes students, faculty, and staff from all religious faiths and secular backgrounds, fostering an inclusive campus environment. While campus ministry programs, spiritual life resources, and interfaith dialogue opportunities are readily available, academic freedom and intellectual inquiry remain foundational pillars of the educational experience.
