Postseason qualification and wildcard probabilities for the Indianapolis Colts are determined strictly during the final weeks of the regular-season schedule as teams battle through conference standings, divisional records, and late-season tiebreakers. During the summer months and early preseason preparations, every single franchise starts fresh with zero wins and zero losses, meaning mathematical elimination only occurs once the regular schedule plays out and final winter standings are officially calculated.
