Aviva acquired the UK life insurance and protection arm of American International Group, known as AIG Life Limited (which had previously been placed under Corebridge Financial). Following regulatory approval and a formal court-sanctioned transfer scheme, AIG Life’s UK operations, business lines, and policyholder accounts were completely absorbed and integrated into Aviva's corporate structure.
