Legally operating a business without liability insurance is technically possible in certain sole-trader fields where it is not strictly mandated by statutory law. However, doing so is exceptionally risky. Operating without liability insurance leaves your personal and business assets completely vulnerable to catastrophic lawsuits, third-party bodily injury claims, or property damage judgments. Furthermore, most commercial landlords, professional associations, and client contracts make liability insurance mandatory.
