Pouring a thin two-inch layer of standard concrete over existing old concrete is generally not recommended because thin layers lack structural integrity and will quickly crack, spall, and delaminate under normal traffic. If you need to refresh, level, or patch an old slab, you must use a specialized polymer-modified concrete resurfacing mix designed explicitly for thin-application overlays.
