Transporting a disassembled pool table in the bed of a pickup truck is entirely possible, provided the table is broken down properly into its individual component parts. While you can never move an assembled pool table in a truck, you can safely load the wooden rails, legs, cabinet frame, and wrapped slate slabs into a pickup bed if they are strapped down securely and protected with heavy moving blankets. However, because slate slabs must be transported flat or securely braced to prevent catastrophic cracking over road bumps, using an enclosed, weather-protected moving van or cargo truck is much safer than an open pickup bed.
