Officially, only genuine General Electric (GE) breakers and official ABB ReliaHome equivalents are fully approved for GE panels. Under strict National Electrical Code regulations, no other standard brand of circuit breaker is interchangeable. The only legal alternatives are specialized third-party UL-listed "classified" replacement breakers (such as Eaton's CL series) that have undergone rigorous independent testing to certify safe compatibility with specific legacy GE load center models.
