Postseason qualification and elimination statuses are determined strictly during the final weeks of the regular-season schedule as teams battle through conference standings and divisional tiebreakers. During the summer months and early preseason preparations, every single franchise sits level with zero wins and zero losses, meaning no team is mathematically eliminated until the grueling regular schedule plays out and final winter tiebreakers are officially calculated.
