Manchester City and Man City are completely identical and refer to the exact same professional association football club competing in the English Premier League. While the club's official corporate and legal name registered with football governing bodies is Manchester City Football Club, supporters, sports journalists, broadcasters, and fans universally use the shortened colloquial abbreviation Man City in everyday conversation, media headlines, and chants to save time and streamline discussions regarding the team's matches, players, and standings.
