GROHE and hansgrohe are closely related through family history and shared heritage, originating from the pioneering Grohe family in Germany. The overarching company was originally founded by Hans Grohe in 1901. Later, his son, Friedrich Grohe, split off to establish his own independent company (GROHE) in 1936. While they have operated as entirely separate, competing corporate entities for nearly a century, both retain their iconic German design roots and engineering excellence.
